About Chris Unwin

Rooted in strategic insight and purpose-driven growth, Chris helps creators and companies build in alignment with their values—transforming how we live, connect, and create. His work bridges clarity and execution, guiding ventures that make cultural and societal impact beyond profit.

As Founder and Executive Director of Free—a content studio and cultural incubator—Chris spent nearly a decade developing digital and physical spaces where creators and brands thrived.

Through The Creator Class and other award-winning programs with the likes of Canon, Ford, Sony, Red Bull, and Vitaminwater, he helped shape a new generation of storytelling, community, and creative entrepreneurship.

Before Free, Chris served as a senior strategist at Bell Media, leading digital transformation across youth brands like MuchMusic and MTV Canada. His work united narrative, innovation, and business strategy—laying the foundation for Atlas’s integrated approach today.
